A passion fruit that enhances flavour and is certified organic… Grown exclusively with organic fertilisers, Ponthier’s certified organic passion fruit is sourced in Madagascar, a natural paradise for growing exotic fruits. Ponthier has chosen the Flavicarpa variety for its juicy flesh, tangy and fruity character, and beautiful golden colour. The passion fruit production cycle lasts around eighteen months, followed by a fallow period of two to three years, which allows all the qualities of the local terroir to be preserved. This dormant period helps to loosen the soil and maintain nutrient levels. Passion fruits are harvested by hand, as they fall from the plant on their own when they reach maturity.
