Wild Blueberries (from Italy)
Maison Ponthier has selected wild blueberries harvested in the forest areas of northern Italy, where the altitude, humidity and purity of the soil promote the development of small, intensely flavoured fruits. Naturally smaller than cultivated varieties, these berries offer highly pigmented flesh, a deep, tangy taste and an authentic, woody aroma.
Picked when fully ripe, the blueberries are then individually quick-frozen (IQF) to preserve their soft texture, beautiful blue-black colour and all their aromatic qualities. This process guarantees excellent consistency and a faithful reproduction of the fruit when used.
With no added sugar, colourings or preservatives, these frozen wild blueberries are ideal for making fine jams, coulis, ice creams, desserts, sauces or plated desserts. A natural and distinctive product for professionals looking for authentic and expressive ingredients.
