Ponthier chose a cranberry that is grown in Canada, the birthplace of this fruit along with the northern states of America. Ponthier selected a farm close to the lakes where the cranberries enjoy their best allies: sand, water, sun and cool weather. The harvested fruit have a beautiful ruby colour, very firm and dense flesh, a slightly tangy flavour and a very fruity aroma.
